[E.B. O'Callaghan (ed.) (1856)] Whereupon deliberation being had, it is resolved and concluded, on the first point, that the respective Deputies going to the provinces, with their High Mightinesses' credentials, shall also be instructed, as they are hereby directed, to encourage not only the vote and furnishing of the subsidy for the West India Company'for the current year, to the amount expressed in the general petition of the Council of State, but also the extinction of the arrears which the aforesaid Company, by previous votes, and otherwise still owes the respective provinces, and to withdraw. For that purpose, extracts of said arrearages shall be handed to the Deputies. And as regard the second point in this case, Messrs. Arnhem,
