Read at the meeting a certain Remonstrance of J"' Hendrick van der Capelle to Ryssel, Lord of Essel and Hasselt, Burgomaster of the City of Zutphen, Ordinary Deputy Commander at New ^"^ ''^^''' High Mightiuesses' Asscmbly, requesting that a Commission be issued ^''"'"'^'"'' for a proper person of the Reformed Religion, which he would send as Commander to his people of Staten Island in New Netherland, as was granted last year, 1655, to Mess" Adriaen and Cornells Lampsins for the Island of Tobago and St. Martin.
