Danish Home Christmas Seals

For more than six decades, the Danish Home in Croton has produced Christmas seals—decorative stamp-like labels affixed to holiday mail that serve dual purposes of fundraising and raising awareness for charitable initiatives.

These beautiful, poster-style designs are similar to what many recognize from the American Lung Association's annual Christmas seal campaigns. However, the term "Christmas seals" isn't exclusive to that organization, despite their trademark status. Various nonprofits create comparable festive labels.

Stamp collectors use the term "Cinderellas" to describe items resembling postage stamps but issued by entities other than government postal administrations for non-postal purposes.
