Six photographs from the 1924 Westchester County Park Commission report. "Croton Point Park" opened to the public in 1923, and was purchased on July 2, 1923. The county replaced "a group of shacks known as 'tent city'" with baseball fields and a children's camp. During the 1930s, an emergency airplane landing strip was constructed.
