[J. Thomas Scharf (1886)] To these, of our own knowledge, we can add Garrison, Knitliu, Lefurgy, Merrill and Nodine, all here a century ago, and here still. They are not on the map, because not repre-sented just then among the tenants or buyers of the real estate. Among all these names we detect five only as Huguenot, viz., Devoe, I\>rshee, Lefurgy, Nodine and Vermilyea. It is remarkable that so few persons from the Huguenot settlement at New Rochelle, started one hundred and four years before 1785, had found their way over here.
