Thomas Scharf (1886)] Subscriptions were now taken for the erection of a church, which project was successful, and at a meeting, of the society August 9, 1877, plans from the architects were submitted. The plan presented by J. A. Wood was accepted, and the board of trustees, together with the pastor, J. C. Purdy, James S. Whitlock, and W. A.
