History of Westchester County, New York — Passage 425
[J. Thomas Scharf (1886)] tract of land bounded south on Norwalk bounds, northeast on Danbury and west upon York line. The General Assembly granted the petitioners such " lib-ertie," and appointed Major Peter Burr, of Fairfield, Job n Copp, of Norwalk, and Josiah Starr, of Danbury, a committee to make a survey of the aforesaid tract of land and make a report to the General Assembly in October following. On the 30th of May, 1708, the purchase was made as shown by the following deed : "To nil to whom these presents shall come greeting • Know ye that I.
