The terms "100% band chart," "percentage chart," and "percentage band chart," designate only those charts in which material is presented qn the basis of 100%. See 297B, 299B. and 300. The terms "surface chart" and "band chart" may be used when referring to either of the two charts shown on page 300.

1. In a curve chart, showing component
parts, it is possible to plot the totals of several groups of figures and the parts of which the total is composed.
2. In order to show rulings in a solid
black or cross-hatched area, white ink is extremely useful. The white lines may be drawn after the area is completely filled in with ink.
