Graphic Presentation
Horizontal rulings should be so drawn as to meet the requirements of their two-fold purpose: To assist in reading values on the vertical scale and to provide a series of horizontal bases of comparison
2. The number of horizontol rulings should vary according to the closeness with which it is desired to read values of the vertical scale. Rulings should not be so frequent as to imply a greater accuracy of the data than actually exists.
3. In general, there should be no more rulings than ore necessary to guide the eye to on approximate reading of the curve values.
WEIGHT OF HORIZONTAL RULINGS
1. Horizontal rulings should be sufficiently heavy to guide the eye to the amount scale without conscious effort.
2. Horizontal rulings should be heovy enough to serve os supplementary "boses" of comparison for the curves.
3. Horizontal rulings should be light enough to contrast sharply with the curves.
